Mike (Doc) Fabricant, Last Ride: June 1, 2019

After a long battle of cancer, Mike has succumbed to his illness. Mike has been an honorary Blue Knights member for a number of years. He was our Quartmaster and an ace motorcycle mechanic servicing members Harley Davison motorcycles at his shop, Docs Cycle in Davie, Florida. He now joins other departed members in Heaven 1.  He will be greatly missed.

Jack Swirsky, Last Ride: May 25, 2019

Jack retired from NYPD in the early 60’s and was a member of the Blue Knights since 1983. He starting in NY and transferred to Florida VII Pompano Beach and then Florida IV Miami/Ft. Lauderdale.  Jack served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Jack rode a two wheeler and his trike into his 90’s and rode it well.
Jack was 97 when he transferred to Blue Knights Heaven 1.

Jack Garson, Last Ride: August 2015

Jack was a active member of Florida-VII for several years and transferred to Florida-IV after Florida-VII folded. He spent 3 years with us and was a well liked and respected member of Florida-IV. He left us after a short illness and has reunited with his fellow Blue Knight brothers and sisters in Heaven-1.

Richard A. Roberts, Last Ride: March 31st 2013

Richard (Dickman) Roberts was born and raised in Key West. He joined the Miami-Dade Police Department and retired as a Sergeant after 31 years of service. He joined FL-IV in 1999 and loved to ride his motorcycles. He suffered a heart attack and left us to join his Blue Knight brothers and sisters in Heaven-1.

Ben and Linda D’Amico, Last Ride: July 24th, 2007

Members for over 10 years, Ben honorably served as a Chapter Officer and Quartermaster. After attending the BK International Convention in Milwaukee, WI., they rode to visit relatives in Iowa. After starting home they were the victims of a fatal motorcycle accident. They are still together in Heaven-1

Barry Fahn, Last Ride: 1999

FLIV Charter member who never faltered in his support of our Chapter. He attended every meeting, ride and function. A quiet and peaceful man until a motorcycle accident sent his health into a spiral and eventual death. He now resides in Heaven-1 with his Blue Knight sisters and brothers. We miss you Barry.

George Webster, Last Ride: January 1998

Faithful and active member for 8 years and had a knack for winning 50/50’s. Chapter Secretary when an angel’s hand reached down and touched him while he slept. His giant stature was only matched by his smile that will be forever missed. Rest in Peace in Heaven-1.

Thomas Sproull, Last Ride: 1992

Tom had been a FL-IV Blue Knight for several years and had done the 4 Corners ride. He succumbed to cancer in 1992 and was transferred to Heaven-1. His wife left S. Florida and moved to Va. In 1993 a group of FL-IV members picked her up and took her to the International Convention which was held in Norfolk, VA that year.

Eugene Gray: Last Ride: 2001

Gene rode a scooter from the keys to his first meeting and decided he needed a bigger bike. Gene became the friendly face at every BK function traveling the USA with his wife Marge. As destiny was written, both passed in their sleep the same year to Ride With Pride in Heaven-1. We will miss both your smiles.

William “Bill” Harvey, Last Ride: 1991

FLIV Charter member and staunch supporter for 10 years until he retired and moved to New Mexico where he joined New Mexico Chapter-I. An Angel reached down and took him during a massive heart attack.

Horace Callahan, Last Ride: Somewhere USA

FLIV Charter member and staunch supporter, Executive Board member for years until he retired and was last seen driving his Camper across the USA. Reportedly taken by an Angel’s hand to heaven one year or so later. His calming words and friendly smile will be missed. Rest in peace.
